As the nights grow longer and the autumn leaves turn amber gold, the itch for a spooky good time grows stronger. Here at Beaver County Nissan, we simply love the Halloween season. That's why we created this list of our favorite haunted houses in Pennsylvania to share with our friends and neighbors.
From moonlit hayrides through the woods to a literal carnival of evil, continue reading to see our top picks for a shrieking good time!
Haunted Hillside
Not your typical walk through the park, Haunted Hillside takes you on a journey through the deep, dark forests of Mt. Pleasant, PA. Leave the breadcrumbs at home because there's only one way in and one way out (if you're lucky).
Here you'll encounter some of the scariest, bone-chilling sights and creatures in the Pittsburgh area. While a small light and steel spine are required to enter, we recommend also dressing for the weather as much of the attraction is outdoors.
Open Fridays and Saturdays, September 20th until October 26th, Haunted Hillside also provides special events and music throughout the season. So, make sure to plan a trip back with friends. That is, if you survive the first time around.

Haunted Hills Estate
Come one! Come all! Experience the blood-curdling screams and heart-racing haunts of Uniontown's very own Scream Park. Test your fates at their Halloween-themed carnival Midway before entering one of three haunted attractions.
This creepy village attracts hundreds of visitors every season. Using Hollywood-style sets and lighting, you and your friends can wind through a literal maze of terrors. Each turn presents a unique set of frights to endure, including live actors and life-like animatronics.
Open Fridays and Saturdays in September, Haunted Hills creeps into full swing the first weekend of October and completes its terrifying run on November 9th.
Valley of Terror
For over 30 years, Lonesome Valley Farms has been harvesting screams and delighting Halloween lovers of all ages. Hop aboard a hay wagon to wind your way through their haunted acreage before exploring a heart-racing maze trail.
If you truly have nerves of steel, we suggest paying a visit to the Slotter Farmhouse and Barn. You'll find the remains of a homemade science experiment gone terribly wrong. Watch out for flesh-eating creatures and of course, farmer Will and his family.
Of course, if mutant livestock isn't your particular cup of tea, Lonesome Valley Farms also provides non-haunted attractions, including their family-friendly corn maze and pumpkin patch playland.
Don't Ghost on These Halloween Attractions!
Now that we've spilled our guts on a few of our favorite haunted houses in Pennsylvania, we hope you'll take advantage before the season expires.
To learn more about hours of operation, ticket prices, and more, make sure to check out each attraction on social media.
