Nissan's motive behind this action is to make their vehicles more obtainable and to compete with other automakers to strengthen the presence of Nissan vehicles among internet searches.

"In some of the customer searches we may not appear," says Jose Munoz, Nissan senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. "We want to be considered by as many customers as possible."1
