It might be hard to believe but Japanese automaker Nissan has been implementing new plans to manufacture a GT-R NISMO model with an even higher level of performance and speed than the current model. While drivers are amazed by the level of power that the current model provides, Nissan is dedicated to pack as much of a powerful punch as possible into future GT-R models to create a new brand image for Nissan's performance division.

The renowned auto experts over at Top Gear are reporting that NISMO is currently looking to improve the styling, power and handling of the sporty GT-R by increasing its number of ponies under the hood from 545 to a horsepower of 570.

Just by increasing the performance and power, the model could attain a ring lap time of a mere seven minutes and 22 seconds. This short span of time is four seconds faster than a certain 9-1-1-badged competitor.

Wondering when production of this speedy, energetic and flashy new model will start?

These details are certain to emerge in the near future, so be sure to stay tuned to Beaver County Nissan's blog through your RSS feed. We are anticipating that we won't be able to contain our excitement and will race to our keyboard to tell you all about it.
