There are many reasons why we are glad to be Beaver Falls' and New Castle's source for great new and used Nissan models. One of the big reasons, is that Nissan maintains a commitment to releasing products that minimize their impact on the environment, like the electric Nissan Leaf. We are now excited to hear that Nissan has teamed up with two other big name automakers to try and produce a production hydrogen fuel-cell engine by the year 2017.

For those who may not know, the concept for hydrogen fuel-cell cars has existed for some time. The technology just has not advanced enough so that a carmaker can efficiently install hydrogen tanks in place of gas and use that hydrogen to create and store electricity inside the car. The idea works on paper but so far it has proved impractical. That's why these three companies have decided to put their heads together and speed up the process of delivering a zero emissions fuel-cell automobile.

Executive Vice President of Nissan Motor Co. Mitsuhiko Yamashita said in a recent statement, "Fuel cell electric vehicles are the obvious next step to complement today's battery electric vehicles as our industry embraces more sustainable transportation."1

2017 is a long ways away, so between now and then you should set yourself up with a new Nissan vehicle from the Beaver County Nissan showroom. We have plenty of great Nissan financing options available. Our knowledgeable staff is always willing to answer any questions you may have.
