One of the biggest things to come out of this year's New York International Auto Show was undoubtedly the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid. We never imagined that our favorite Japanese automaker could take this popular crossover and make it even better, but that is exactly what they did. With the handling and fuel economy of a sedan, and the size and utility of an SUV, this new Nissan vehicle is sure to please even the most discerning drivers in the New Castle area.

The new hybrid version is only expected to cost $3,000 more than the traditional Pathfinder that carries the 3.5-liter V6. That's a few grand that will pay for itself with all the money you will save when it comes to fuel costs.

Pierre Loing, vice president of product planning at Nissan North America, spoke about the new crossover, saying, " The Pathfinder Hybrid is highly affordable because it matches motor and battery size well, while minimizing the number of additional parts or modifications needed to the platform and body. It is designed as a logical bridge between conventional internal combustion engine powertrains and the wider acceptance of hybrid systems by providing enhanced efficiency with no compromises versus the standard vehicle."1
