Along with warmer weather and longer days comes good news from Nissan. We recently received reports on sales figures for the month of March, and we are happy to say that Nissan North America experienced on of the best sales months since the Nissan brand was introduced to the United States.
Compared to March of last year, sales rose 1 percent but that brings the total vehicles sold up to 137,726 in this March alone. Nissan's luxurious sister company Infiniti also showed big gains with a 9 percent jump in sales compared to March of 2012 and moved more than 11,000 units.
All of this success can be traced back to a few models that have sold more than their fair share of units thanks to recent redesigns and makeovers. The Nissan Versa and the Nissan Altima both over-performed, while the Pathfinder was in high demand as well.
On top of all that, the Nissan LEAF beat all of its records by having the best sales months since its release. This officially makes it the best-selling purely electric car on the planet.
