If you were wondering what new Nissan cars like the LEAF go through in order to get to dealership lots like those at Beaver County Nissan in Beaver Falls, PA, we are here to tell you.

In order to show potential drivers the testing process Nissan recently produced a promotional video depicting exactly what the Leaf and other vehicles go through before sale. The promotional video shows the Leaf driving through a pool of water, with no stalling, flooding or electrical problems taking place.

In a separate scene on the video, the Leaf is shown plugged-in when it is suddenly struck by lightning from a high-voltage transmitter and to the viewer's surprise the vehicle comes away completely undamaged inside or out.

In the final scene of the video, the Leaf is shown in an everyday commuting setting , "we see the Leaf road-tested in heavy traffic on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, on the German autobahn, and on the freezing roads of Alaska."1
