For six years Nissan has been investing time, energy and funds into the Habitat for Humanity. It started in 2005, just after Hurricane Katrina and Rita, where Nissan employees logged over 56,000 hours helping the non-profit build homes for people in need. Now, Nissan Americas is planning to further strengthen that partnership.

In addition to a hefty 2.5-million-dollar charitable contribution, Nissan Americas has gone a step further to invite company stakeholders to also support the worthy cause. In response Jonathan Reckford, CEO, Habitat for Humanity International says: "Nissan's financial support enables us to help more families improve their living conditions in ways they can afford," further adding, "We are extremely grateful to have a partner like Nissan that shares our commitment to building sustainable communities. This is an exciting opportunity for our affiliates and for our recovery work in Haiti."1

It's expected that the non-profit will use much of Nissan's recent donations  in order to fund next month's perennial Jummy and Rosalyn Carter Work Porject in Haiti. Additional funds will be used to cover building-supply costs as well as a number of other projects around the world.

If you have any interest in helping Nissan Americas support Habitat for Humanity International Beaver County Nissan located at 2777 Constitution Blvd. in Beaver Falls, PA 15010 encourages you to donate any available time (or if you prefer funds) online, via the Nissan Americas website.
