Nissan Sets Sights on Compact Sedan Crown with 2016 Sentra

It's hard out there for a compact sedan. Forever one of the most popular -- and, consequently, populous -- segments in the industry, it can sometimes be a real challenge for one to stand out amidst the heaps of competition.

Such is not the case for ours, however, the 2016 Nissan Sentra.

Wondering what, specifically, this fun four-door brings to the table? Then, pair up with Cars.com pundit, Joe Wiesenfelder. His review of the Sentra is available in the video below:

Offered with your choice of either a standard six-speed manual or an optional continuously variable transmission, the Sentra's 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine is rated at a respectable 130 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque.

Where the sedan really shines, though, is in the area of fuel economy. When had with the continuously variable transmission, for instance, the Sentra should achieve an impressive 32 mpg combined (29 city/38 highway).
